Happy Stitchers Making Stitchers Happy

OUR STORY

Founded in August of 2022, Burleson Needleworkers began as a Social Stitch meetup group, to serve the rural areas of Burleson County, Texas. 

Open to all needle art practitioners and artists to provide mentoring & friendships bonded over common crafts of knit, crochet, embroidery, quilting, needlepoint, spinning, weaving and others. 

Burleson Needleworkers volunteers locally, at city functions, as well as holding regular weekly meetups, and teaching free monthly classes, to spread the love of needlework in the community, so others may learn of and enjoy the many benefits such hobbies provide. 

STITCHERS CLOSET

Realizing the need for a budget minded solution to help provide stitching supplies to others, economically; BN began our Stitchers Closet in February of 2023.  

We solicit donations of new (usually packed away) unused stitching supplies from others to redistribute to those stitchers and ‘WannaBe’ Stitchers in need.  

Cash donations are very appreciated, so that we may purchase items not readily acquired through donations, such as tools & notions. 

THE FUTURE

Burleson Needleworkers dreams big!  Our plans are:

*To receive our Nonprofit designation by the end of 2023. 

*Solicit donation of a Storefront location to conduct  social stitch meetups, receive & provide Stitchers Closet items, and;

*Set up a Retail area for local Stitcher supplies, with profits benefiting the Stitchers Closet charity.
